If you love Louis Vuitton or just luxury fashion in general, you should definitely check out the Louis Vuitton museum exhibit in lower Manhattan. “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez” takes you through a historic journey on the beginning of the iconic Louis Vuitton brand, specifically their travel trunks, to some of their most recent modern collaborations.
I love the setup of the exhibit, starting with some of the first travel trunks created in the early 1900s, and early conceptual sketches. Then each room you go through progresses through the development of the Louis Vuitton brand, not only showcasing the travel trunks. You get to also see some of the fashions and different artist collaborations such as the Supreme collection or the most recent masters artists collab. Make sure you wear a cute outfit because there are some great Instagram-worthy spots: the front entrance with the Louis Vuitton “subway” sign, the blue room with the huge airplane, and the last room with the graffiti-patterned walls. Upon exiting, there’s a Louis Vuitton gift shop and you also receive a complimentary enamel pin to commemorate your visit.
Unfortunately I had to breeze through due to time constraints on my schedule, but this exhibit is definitely one to check out! Admission is free and the exhibit will be open through January 7th. It’s recommended to make a reservation online, but you can definitely do a walk in. For tickets and more information, check out the website here.
