“I think, therefore I am.”

If you want to be successful, one important thing you must realize is that your thoughts hold more power over your life than you may think. The law of attraction states that whatever you put out into the world is exactly what you get back. If you want to see success in your life, you must first envision it in your mind. This is the same mindset that got many successful people to the point where they are now (that and hard work of course).

Fake it until you make it.
You’ve probably heard this phrase before, but what does it mean exactly? If you don’t have much confidence in yourself or your business, but you pretend like you do, guess what, after a while you’ll actually be confident. After pretending for so long, you actually trick your mind into believing. The same goes for when you’re feeling mad or negative about a situation, just laugh or smile. You may feel silly, but the action of smiling or laughing is associated with happiness, and you can actually trick your brain into being happy instead of mad.

Find the positive side in every situation.
It’s easy to find the negatives, but finding the positives and keeping positive thoughts only attracts more positive things to happen. Start getting into this mindset instead of being a negative Nancy.

Believe in yourself, even if you don’t really believe in yourself.
We can only accomplish what we think we’re capable of. Self – confidence is everything, if you believe that you can’t do something, you won’t be motivated to accomplish what you want. With this line of thinking you’ll never get anything done and we want to keep things positive, remember? Everyone has the power to be great if you believe in yourself.

Create daily affirmations.
Affirmations are positive phrases you say out loud (or in your mind if your prefer) that declare positive things about yourself or things you want to happen. They’re a way to exert the power of manifestation, and a way to attract positivity and success into your life. Remember what you put out, is what you get back. So if you declare positive things, you’ll get positive things in return. Some daily affirmations I use are:
“I am amazing!”
“I can do whatever I put my mind to!”
“I am successful!”
“Today will be a great day!”

Surround yourself with positive, supportive people.
If you’re constantly around positive people, it’ll be easier to maintain a positive attitude. You’re the sum of the people you hang out with, so make sure that your circle of friends is on the same page as where you want to be.

I’ve used these tips in my daily life and found that being positive and declaring what I want for my life has really made a difference! For example, I remember saying last year that I wanted to travel more. I put it out into the world, I declared it, and now I’m traveling every month for work and going to places I’ve never been. I find that when I think positive, good things happen. “Positive vibes only” has become a personal mantra, and I use it especially when I’m angry or when I find myself in a negative situation.
